Compression Question

Hey guys whats the normal comrepssion on a GSX engine ? Is 150 low ? What compression numbers am I suppost to look for ? Oh yeah , the engine is a 6 bolt turbo. Thanks

180-180-180-180 is about right from what I can remember.

arent turbo's generally lower compression? my talon is N/T and its 180 across the board

Are you getting 150 across? 150 is alright but there shouldn't be more than 10 psi variance between cylinders

2G will typicaly be in the 175-185 range, and 1g will be in the 150-160 range. Compression ratios are 8.5 and 7.8 repsectively. There will also be some cam timing differences between turbo and NT which alo affect the cylinder test pressure.
