15" steel wheels seeking for 91

Just got back to the 4g club. I did own a 4g crx, bought new, rolled off transport and PDIed
myself. Went away in 93 for reasons. Daily driver for the last 6yrs, 3g crx hf w/ 1500 - nikce combo. Just found the 91 hatch I should have bought in the 1st place - back seat =:) insurance. Seeking 15" steel wheels w/ stock appearance - can you say sleeper? Leads?

I have your answer. Not tottaly sure of where my wheels came from, definally VW in orgin. Apparently they have been on alot of cars before mine lol. I was told they are old corrado wheels. My friends at the shop call them the "steath" wheels, I like them alot :flash: and yes they are 15's.

SO I take it from your post you want 15inch steel wheels?

(becasue Ill be damned if its any recognisable form of the english language im famillar with.)

Try a late model Accord. All had 15inch wheels, and most of them used steels with ugly hub caps.

Sorry if my syntax was confusing. After reading my post I agree. It seems that I combined
2 threads into 1 post - "Hi group. and I need some wheels" - however neither was clear.
THANKS for the corrado tip. That is what I was looking for. Ugly? - eye of the beholder.
Am trying for the "nothing much to see here officer" rather than "look at me". Getting older
changed my motivations.:D
Please correct me if I am wrong, but I thought accords were a different bolt pattern?

..the 2k1+ civics have 15" steelies too....

accord steelies are HEAVY!!!

I say you try to get some from a 2001+ civic

I have the same attitude towards my car. I opted for 15" rims from a 2000 civic si - better handling than my old stock 13"s, not too flashy. I'll have a hard enough time not attracting cops once my b16a's installed...

How old are you? I think at 25 I'm one of the older 4th-geners on this board...:D :D

Nah...I'm older :)....actually, no, I mean :( - LOL!

The '86-89 Accord has the 4x100 bolt pattern. All the Accords '90 & up have 4x125 (or something like that - whatever - I know it's bigger than 100 :)

Why don't you look for some '00 Si wheels? That's what I run. It's funny too cuz people that are "import-stupid" think they're aftermarket! Then again, they are gettin' kinda played...

Laterz,

Mate!

I used to have an old 2500TC (same engines as the GT6) with a worked head and cam making over 150hp. :D

I would have thought the GT6 would be a bit nose heavy for autocross though.

Wasn't that built off of the vitesse?
68 was swing axle, but with the right sway bars and a swing spring, it worked. btw supported a VERY aggressive driving style.;)

What the hell is a 4G CRX???
You can say that the Del Sol is a 3G CRX, but what is a 4G CRX?
And if you say that a 3G CRX is a Del Sol, I don't remember them coming in a HF trim.

4G Crx would be 88-91 and 3g would be 84-87 (i think, I dunno my older than 4g very well)

As for the del sol thing, I dunno why people say that

No, it was the large 4dr. Triumphs grand Saloon as it were. There are a few, but only a few running around the states.

The Vitess and GT6 were all built of the Herald, the Vitesse being a Herald with a 2L six from the MK1 2000TC (mine was a MK2 2500TC) and the GT6 being a Spitfire which was based on the Herald chassis with the 2l Vitesse engine and diff squezzed in. Then a GT style roof put on the spitfire shape.

You must have had great fun tuning it though, that swing axle could be deadly if allowed to tuck under.

The rubbers are sumitomo HTR-Z's and the size is 195/50 R15. Tread wear is like 160 i believe? I use them on the street and for racing, auto-x, etc. Last year during the warm months my old tires endured about 7000 miles of driving and combined racing. The racing consisted of 20-30 autocrosses, 1 road racing session and 1 trip to the drag strip. I think since the car is so damn light its eaiser on tires lol. Very good tires IMO.

And as long as were talking old british cars, when i wrecked my DX two years ago I drove a friends FSP well prepared Triumph spitfire for one race. That car was a blast to drive. I was good at driving it but I loved it, it was a converible, it made all kinds of odd noises, had big racing slicks, manual everything lol. Almost like a civic ;) too bad my friend sold the car, it wasn't fast but driving it put a smile on your face.

That's ok, I find myself saying that all the time to these kids.

My friend's dad has a TR6. They work on it together. Pretty cool.

My dad on the other hand thinks my DX powered CRX is

1. fast enough in its current state
2. already too low (its completely stock)

Hmmm... just wait until he drives it with the b16a. I'll convert him yet! :D

Well if he loves the smooth flat torque curve of the TR6 he'll love the B16a. :D

Will the stock 15" wheels off the 2001 Civic EX have any offset differences? And will they fit within the wheelwells? Basically, will the 4g still drive correctly?

88-91: 4g civic, 2g crx....

Essentially that is correct, but a 1g crx is still a 3g civic.
i.e. "civic crx"

I had aftermarket 15's on my '91 sedan for a while (sold them because clutch is going and need to pay for that) and the wheelwell gap stayed the same (the springs / suspension is the same)
