Frozen Wax

I was detailing two cars this weekend. I had my buddy doing the outside of one while i did the inside of the other. Well it was 25 Degrees out and he waxed the whole car. When he went to take it off it was frozen. I was just wondering what is the best way to take off the wax? Luckily the people are out of town for the week so i can finish the car tomorrow. any help would be appreciated.

well, that was a huge mistake on both of your parts. detailing cars in sub-freezing temperatures is not a smart idea. you should've waited until it was at least 35 degrees.

anyways, removing frozen wax is something i've had to deal with before, although luckily it was in a very small quantity. i was able to peel all of it off with my fingernail. the best advice i can give you is to wait until it gets a little bit above freezing, then try and rub the wax off normally, or try and rinse it off with a powerful jet of water. better to do that than to scrape it off.

since this thread is 4 months old, i would have to say he doesnt have to worry about it now.
