Hello all,
Here is my problem. I needed a new battery for my vehicle, took my old one out, got a new one and came back to install. Now all of a sudden when I pull my hood release lever... nothing. I have tried everything possible to get it off to no avail.. does anyone know a good bypass method that doesnt require me to drill holes and or cutt my hood?
thanks alot
the vehicle is a 1985 honda civic hatchback 4WD (kickass car)

Under the front bumper you'll find a metal plate that is about 18"x8" and is held to the splash guards with four 10mm bolts. Remove this plate so you can reach up between the radiator and exhaust manifold to give the hood release cable a tug. Make sure the car is cool before you try this!
The plastic ferrule that holds the cable to the hood latch has broken, this is a common problem. Just glue the plastic piece back together or pick up a new cable.
