96 no blinkers

I have seen posts re: replacing BCM, disconnecting battery cable etc. Some confusion so please clear up for me. On the 96 grand, are the blinkers controlled with relay, flasher, fuse and where are they located? Mine just stopped working. Flashers work fine. Air bag lite ok.

Update: I turned my 4 ways (still working) on and off several times, and now the blinkers are working. Still don't know if it uses a flasher and where it is located. I was quoted a "flasher module" $42 - any thoughts??? From anyone???
