Ok guys i am in a real jam i bought a ford exploer EB 2002 about month ago. I boguht the warranty cost me about 2-3k but gave me like 7 years with 100,000 miles from the day i bought it so i did it. Now i do want a remote start and i did ask a question lie this in the past but called them up and becuase i have the warranty and to keep the warranty on electoral stuff like radio, ac, heat and all that i would need to buy there one which is remote start and a Security system for 1k or i could buy that just plug and works which i have heard of but can not find? So what should i do i hear that having the dealer install it is the best way and i would not have a lot of problems? So should i give in i mean if i won't have problems and it works great then fine i foot the bill becuase i hear alot if not all after market remote starter and installs have problems?

i have an aftermarket remote starter think its the best thing on earth but unfortunately there right it will void any warranty on the electric including any computer in the car that are expensive so it would have to something to think about

Yea but have you seen one that just plugs in no electric work needed?

Your best bet is to buy a remote starter online for cheap and have it installed by a professional shop. I found a viper alarm/remote start with gps tracking for less than $500.00. The name of the website is on another one of my posts. I believe that as long as the remote start is installed by a certified installer it should not void your warranty. There was a big thing about Sema throwing a fit that car makers were voiding warranties on cars because of aftermarket parts being installed and some laws were changed about it. I will try to find the website on my other posts.
