Hey guys whats up? I was just wondering if anyone has come across or knows of a company that makes Mitsubishi Eclipse models...2001+ though, i have the 98' but i want one with the nice body modifications that the 01-04's have, and maybe even if they have made a model of the 06?

IIRC Ertl did a 1:25 diecast convertible from the movie 2Fast2Furious. nice piece, but would be hard to work with since its diecast

Yeah, the IIRC is th only 01-04 that I know of, Jada did one, but the scale of those is awful. Haven't heard about the 06 *cough*ugly!!*cough* I personally don't consider 3Gs or 4Gs Eclipses because they don't have the 4G63, pity Mitsu killed the GSX...

BTW Switches, I thought it said $7500, not 000! That's like double the worth of the car brand new! Typo?

Nope, no typo, I've saved like a champ, the car is great condition, no complaints with it, and everyone i've known with a sebring has had a good running car, so i'm sticking with it, i own a 01 Eclipse too, but the Sebring is my baby lol. and yup, 75000 is going into it, everything from high performance engine and interior work including turbo, nos, air management etc, to the exterior work, being rims, custom molded body kit, vertical doors, air ryde system, and my favourite, the paint job...Thermal paint that blends into a deep fusion orange at the back

What a waste of hard earned money, I'd rather have an Evo8, or even a imported GTR. 75k into a Diamond C? WTF... :loser: Your money. :grinno:

Back on Topic..
There arent any plastic companies that make the newer generations of eclipse's. :grinno:

well here is the thing, i'm not the type to go around doing things that everyone else does. I want to be unique and have something that when people see it, chances are they have never seen something like that done before...Its funny because anyone who sees my car loves it, and can't wait to see it...so if all you have is a negative comment about it, keep it to your self, everyone has their own taste and desires

Yea it'll be unique.....I guess :dunno:

Man, the stuff I'd do with $75k.............

But yea, ditto with the guys on the kit, I haven't heard of someone making it before. Tried ebay yet?

No, i never trust ebay. Its a good site don't get me wrong, but i know too many people that have been screwed over by people selling stuff on the site. so i don't want to take any chances

What motors did these cars come with? Can I go out on a limb and guess 420A? Which is a good engine, but still... Geez, 75 large, not what I'd do with that... I'd either get a 2G GSX with a 6 bolt swap and 16g turbo and build it, or get a Supra and go single turbo... guess i gotta hand to ya for being original, but wasteful IMO. When's she due out of the shop?

I say take your chances with the 2F2F piece, I've seen some good diecast conversions on this forum... good luck

Its funny everyone wants to be unique nowadays but it really all depends what you put into it I guess. If it was up to me, since you've got that 01 eclipse, I think that be a better investment than that chrysler.

To Vanilla Gorilla, WhyTF do you have and sport a N/A eclipse that's just as or even worse than modding a chrysler(no offense to chrysler peeps). You won't get shit out of that, in fact you probably got a chrysler motor if you've got a non-turbo eclipse haha.

anywho back to the topic, like everyone else said no 01-present eclipse yet. just the AMT and Revell eclipses.

Man.. you can't expect to post info, on an internet forum of car enthusiasts, that you're going to put $75k into a front wheel drive Chrysler and not get negative remarks. (you won't even be able to use the power, I know from experience, fwd turbo Eclipse = no traction... *sigh*) As other people have said, you will be original, no doubt, but it does seem wasteful to anyone (most people) that don't share your vision.

As far as your question goes, a 3G Eclipse model doesn't exist to my knowledge, although I think I have seen a diecast somewhere.

Also, there's no reason not to trust Ebay as long as you check seller's ratings before you buy. I have been using it for 5 years and haven't been burned, because I make sure i'm dealing with someone reputable.

Yeah, no kidding, but he can always convert it to RWD.
What's the best engine Chrysler offers? The Ram/Viper 8.3L V10?

RWD 500hp Sebring "SRT10"...now that's something.

from what i've seen...the best you can do is the stnadard V6...Its good to see that still people can't keep the negative comments to themselves though. As for everyone who keeps saying why wouldn't u go buy a GTR or a Supra. No, I love the sebring that i am driving, and when i thought of customizing it, since my whole life has revolved around cars and modifying them, i decided to go all out on this one, and thats that.
