i took my car for the smog test and I passed everything except for the OBD II test cause the guy said that since i disconnected my battery the memory was erased and since my car hadn't been driven long enough. anyone know how long i should drive it? Does anyone know if that is the only problem that would cause me to fail the obd II test part? cause about 3 months ago my engine light came on cause of my spark plugs so i changed them and a week later the engine light went on again. I have the "driveright carchip" and it turned my engine light off for me. since then the light hadnt come back on. that was 3months ago. if my battery was disconnected, that trouble code is erased right?

No check engine light (MIL) is on. Does the mil light come on when you turn the key to the on position? Does it go off after you start it?
If yes to these. good Then we go to the codes, None? OK. If you disconnected the battery, yes they are erased. Unfortunately you set the monitors to incomplete when you did this.
And last there are system monitors that have to be completed. These are completed with certain drive cycles. Usually driving about 100 miles should set the monitors to complete. Some are two trip monitors so you need to cool the car off to below 160degrees then drive again.
After you have driven the 100 miles ask the smog tech to check the OBDII for you it only takes about 3 minutes to do and he might not charge you for doing it. That is if he isn't busy.
Good luck,

100 miles works for most cars. It depends on drive cycles. And different manufacture's have different spec's for drive cycles for each monitor.
Try to stay at normal speeds some set at or above 45mph some set at 35 and so on.
You can try let's say 60 mi. it is hard to say without the specifics of your cars drive cycles.
The OBDII test does give you a little room for error you don't have to have all monitors set to complete. The test gives you three monitors that do not need to be set, unfortunately you have 7 or 8
and make sure your gas cap is tight. Evap monitor!
Ain't this stuff F U N.......F'ked Up Nonsense
Wait, I did not say that

I think alldata should have them. Ask a mechanic friend if they can get them. Maybe Honda service might help you out too. Also might be in a repair manual.
Sorry I don't have a hook-up for them.
I'll ask the dude's next door but I will not be online til monday 3 day wkend for me:) I hope you can wait.
