Ive just recently purchased a K & N air filter which was supposedly drop-in, but now i hear that i'd need to upgrade my entire intake just to get it to fit! Is this true???

I certainly hope not! I've got one myself that hasn't been installed yet.

If you purchased a K&N drop-in filter, it is just that. You remove the factory OEM filter and drop-in the new filter. There are no modifications that ae needed to your stock intake plumbing or air box.

Well, if you receive a box that has a cone shaped filter that is approx. 6" in diameter, then you have the wrong one.

The drop in will look exactly like your factory filter but is made with different materials.

Anyone know the part number for a K&N drop-in for a P11GT?

The only air filter I've found which actually lists the primera is RAM Air.

I've been running with a RAM Air replacement filter for the last 10k. Doesn't seem to have any noticable difference, however.

we can put ram air in our Gs??

wouldnt you have to modify the intake port? i noticed the opening is off to the side, and at a right angle to the airflow

Ahh, no. Ram Air is a manufacturer of air filters. I'm not actually talking about a 'ram air' intake.

Don't rate them very much, either. Foam filter covered in really sticky goo.

Just wondered if all you with K & N air filters notice significant difference in pick up/acceleration?

I bought a pipercross universal induction kit for my p10 which i had a right mess to fit but it was well worth it, if only for the cool noise it makes at high revs, i had louvres cut in the bonnet for more cold air which didn`t really make much difference, but do help the cars already sporty looks
