Hi I just purchased a 70 chevelle about a month ago and have some questions. I am going to replace both fenders, and i was wondering if you guys would recommend going with sheet metal or fiberglass. I am now questioning the structural integrity of the fiberglass ones. when complete this car will be my daily driver.
I am also going to put a fiberglass hood on it. I was wondering if anyone had any good or bad experiences with the hoods and parts on www.up22.com.
Thanks for the responses

should of went sheetmetal...more of a muscle feel in my opinion but as long as no one touches them i guess they want tell the diffrence and it will last 30 times as long.

Sometimes fiberglass is a bitch to get lined up .Plus each manufacture is different.
I had a fiberglass hood on my 69, nothing but problems. I would go with metal, Goodmark is about the best going as far as fit. They use GM tooling on the stamps.
If you have to use fiberglass and want the fenders AND the hood , you may want to check into the tilt front clips. This way it's all one piece and you wouldn't have to worry as much about all the lines fitting....
Also check us out in my signature we have a LOT of guys to help with questions as well......
Good luck man
