Small Lift Suggestions

I want to put a small lift on my XJ. I am considering the Rustys Offroad 2" and the Rocky Road 2" lift. Does anyone have any recommendations?

A 2" lift is good for 30" tires. You can achieve 2" of lift in a couple different ways. OME is the only company that makes a 2" lift with full springs. they are expense but excellent quality. Another option is a budget boost. Several companies make these. It consists of a spacer for the front coils and either an add a leaf, shackle or blocks for the rear lift. Once you decide if you want a BB and how you want to accomplish lift in the rear, just shop for price because they are all about the same quality. Something to think about is shocks. You will need longer shocks to get full use of your lift. Some companies include new shocks with their lift, others dont.
I believe RR offers their in house BB or OME lift springs. Rusty's is just a BB.
Theres nothing wrong with a 2" lift. Its true you will probably eventually go with a bigger lift but a BB is cheap and will give you a little more aggressive stance without effecting the steering or driveline geometry. You should also budget for a front end alignment after the lift though and possibly a crossmember drop kit. I say possibly because its unlikely you will need one but stranger things have happened.
Ive got a 1.5" lift on my XJ. I accomplished it using V8 Grand Cherokee coils in the front and an AAL in the rear. Just another option. It rides a little stiffer than stock but I like that, and it was cheap.
