IP on the blink

I'm an automotive engineer by trade. I'm an EE on HVAC systems for an OEM.
I've had my '95 Olds Aurora for 5 years..Since 27k miles and I still absolutely love the car. Its starting to leave me puzzled, however.
I installed an aftermarket remote start 3 years ago. I conformal coated the entire thing before install becuase I was worried about dendrite growth. The thing worked fine for two years then....
Now the IP cluster and the front computer display are on the fritz. Gauges and lights will completed go down. They will blink on (usually in the morning when really cold) for a short time, only to all go off again. They could come on/off several times in a 30 min ride.
I've disconnected the remote start module and soldered all the old connections back together. Still have the same response. I've replaced the HVAC / computer module, hoping this might be the colprit...No success.
I've pulled the HVAC / computer & IP module apart, looking for a blown cap, dentrites, etc. Nothing found.
I'm wondering if there is a common grounding point shared between these modules that could be intermittent? Does anyon have an electrical diagram that shows this? Any other ideas??? Thanks much in advance.
