I have a 97 Ram 1500 with the 5.9l engine. How can I find out if I have an ABS system installed? Thanks.

Put the brakes on hard.
If the front tires skid, you probably have only rear ABS.
If the back skid too, you have a problem.
I'm pretty sure all of the Dodge Trucks from '96 on have rear wheel ABS standard with all wheel ABS as an option.
I would think that when you first turn the ignition switch on, the ABS warning light will come on for about 3 seconds. Then again, maybe I'm wrong and you have no ABS at all. Don't break any laws or hurt yourself trying to figure it out.
