Static after speaker upgrade

I have my stock deck still (Alpine CDA-9847 on Friday!), and ever since I put my RF P132C speakers in the dash, all four speakers have been getting insane static. I have Pioneer TS-A6961R's in the rear, and they sounded fine until I put the new speakers in front. I think it's a wiring problem, maybe. What I did was twist the wires together and then use some heat shrink instead of tape or butt connectors or anything... Was this a bad idea? If it's not the wiring, what do you guys think it is?

yeah, could be one of your connections is loose. if not, but most likely is, you may be running power wire near ur speaker wires and could be picking up noise. doubt that, just butt ur connections, its easy and cheap.
