Another Kill, highway battle

Well, this w/e I went up North to visit a buddy in Long Island.

It's nice up there, quiet and laid back area hes in, a good escape and always good times with a buddy.

Now, unto the kill and a mighty one at that!
I was on my way up to NY still on the PA turn pike I have my cruise set at 70 and I'm alone in the fast lane have N.E.R.D.s Lapdance playing over the Monsoon to cover over the exhaust burble. I am just cruising alone for a few miles no real traffic save for people who think the fast lane means 100+ in a Dodge mini van with snow tires choose to zip around me even in a area where there isn't too much police activity ever I still just like to cruise 70-80 mph on the high way.

Behind me I see headlights *this is the day* Newer car with daytime running lights no biggy I am still cruising those lights are alot closer. I shug my shoulders and figure he can pass me but he doesn't just get even closer around 1/2 car at 70 so I say fuggit and change lanes drop to 60.

What I see when I look over from the middle lane is a black M3 lining up with me. I am all smiles so at 60 much to my T-56s dismay I drop the car from 6th to 3rd. He flys off no honks nothing.. I MUST GET THIS M3.
even with all my races I've never had the honor of taking a shot at a E46 or anycar nicer then a GSR... I've been waiting a long time.

Pedal down, the LS1 screams to redline in 3rd I think to my self damn thanks to AF I knew she'll see the Cenutry mark in 3rd and it does. The Bimmer has been reeled, in neck and neck now as I stuffed her into 4th.
I start pullling first just a tiny bit but as speedo climbs more I pull. 110 hes on my rear bumper. 120 hes atleast 2-3 cars behind me I shifted to 6th and figured the race has been finished. Tapping my brakes I let him catch up.

We exchange a wave and I flick my cruise back on at 80 mph this time and he Floors it away never to be seen again.

When I got to my friends first thing I said was I GOT AN M3!!

I fucking love this car I dont need to mod it but, I will I want a Prancing Horse now :evillol:

Cliffs: trip to Long Island
cruise on highway turns into fun run.
Ran a E46 M3
Took him out from 60-120 run
Trilled with my car
Wants to run a Exotic now just mod first

EDIT: I said GSR.....i meant GSR-T. Theres no way in hell a stock GSR or hell, an all motor GSR would stand up to an LS1. My aunt has one and lets me drive it occassionally and it is pretty fast...and i like it :devil:

Nah, I dont hate you, lol. And after reading Red's story, I dunno if an LS1 would be good for me. It sucks, every car Im looking at for my next car has some sorta problem with it, lol. If you want an exotic, come see my in Texas, I could see if my neighbor's son who has a coupla Ferraris wants to run....and I know there is an Enzo or two in the Ft. Wort area you could run. A buddy of mine says he saw a Carrera GT on 121 as well....

I know I read that right after getting mine! I keep my fingers crossed and so far its been good.

I'd love to go down to Texas I've seen so many vids where the Big Boys play. I Just need to get me some work done before I chase after Supercars.

I have a couple friends coming over this weekend to help out. Should at least have it able to roll after this weekend. If that is the case...it can go to a much better garage the following weekend for the finishing touches.
Of course...this is all for nothing if something is screwed up. :lol:

it is the illest honda swap ever and you put RWD or AWD w/ it and the 6 speed s2k trans and you got a winner every time... low 10's at 170mph just like when the guys' floorboard fell off and he blew his intake manifold... :icon16::evillol:

The Hurst? Not sure if the stick is the same...but a couple places make a short stick that reduces throws and makes them more accurate. Lou's Short Stick and UMI Performance I believe.
One of my favorite mods. Cleaned up the shifts nicely. I have a pic somewhere of them side by side....somewhere.

I would have to disagree.
LS6 intake is good for 15 RWHP with a tune to support it. That is the biggest problem people have with it, your computer is thinking the LS1 intake it still on there.
Lid, exhuast, LS6 intake, then headers for 98-00 cars.

With the LS6 mani setup every graph i've seen its a flat out gain too :smile:

I have a good friend who is going to learn LS1 edit for me he did awesome work on my honda and can't wait to see what he'll do with a car with 2 times the pistons :lol2:

It'd cost you around $1,200 to have an LS6 intake installed and get a tune. For 15rwhp? Get a lid, long tubes, y pipe, catback, then get a heads/cam/intake package that works together. Then get that tuned.

See try around 500 and maybe you'd be right. 500 for 15 RWHP is a great deal sure its not the bang for buck of n2o but remember this is over full powerband no loss of gas milage and its always there. Tuning will only improve on this farther.

I was just telling you how to add power. If you're on the stock 10 bolt..you definitely shouldn't be adding more power. Get a 12 bolt or 9". And a new clutch too. But first you might want to decide on a cam so you'll know what gears to pick.
