Ok I know what prawns are... But what kind of strange name is teppanyaki? On a liner note, what is with all the eastern sounding names in NZ?

It's Japanese and its food that's cooked in front of you on a big hotplate by a teppan chef. It's sooooo yummy! :licker: :D

I had a comment all lined up refering to the fury coat of a cat, but after typing it up I decided that it would take the thread over the edge, so instead I will settle for this more tactfull way of saying my original post, and tack on this too :hehehe:

True,it's not exactly the most enjoyable meal, but apparently it gives the cat's owner a great deal of pleasure if you are seen to appreciate it;)

Don't confuse that as an real Japanese meal. Some of my American friends really thought they do that in Japan... I must have real dumb ass friends...:cwn27: But that flipping and tossing shrimp or eggs to your mouth, that's just entertainment someone thought of.

So true, so true. I haven't been to Japan, but I've eaten at Tai places here in the states and visited Tailand not to long ago... Much different :D As with alot of regional food resturants that arn't located in the region who's food they are serving. The real thing is much better :D
