oil leaking....HELP

when i start my car its fine but after running for 15-20 mins it starts to tap/ oil light comes on so i havent driven it for a while now but i went out to thw car today and i look under the car and there is good bit of fresh oil on ground what could this be??? before the leak was found it was told that it could be the screen clogged,bad pump,valve tap or worst of all the bearings.

if the bearings are bad would my oil light be coming on, or leaking oil?

If the bearings were bad for some time, they could lead to a piston rod breaking and going through the side of the block or oil pan.

Look at the sides of the engine for a large hole where it looks like something went through it. That is probably where the oil is coming from.

For you sake, I hope that's not the case, but if you threw a rod, you definitely would experience a tap, low oil, and an oil leak.
