idle drops, than spazzes.. Help!

So...its a little rainy in hawaii and i got my car a little too soaked...

the idle drops below 300 then pops back up to like 1K...
its really annoying..cuz it keeps bumping my car power when im at a stoplight,m not to mention it stops. sometimes...

any ideas? is there like a factory setting that makes sure the idle doesnt drop a lot? Im pretty sure its the Sparkplug thats dead...cuz it works, then doesnt, etc...and i think i might have gotten water into intake + maybe distributor...

im just sort of wondering what the prob is...

You might have gotten water in your distributor cap...pull that and clean out/dry any water that may be in there. Unless you hit a water puddle at a hundred or something, I doubt you sucked up any water into the engine, so its more than likely in your ignition system.

Also, you have some sort of idle air control that keeps your idle where it should be based on what the computer is telling it.

ah..thanks, that explains it..the engine dying wasnt scaring me, since i figured i got water into something..(its fine now, totally dried..) i was scared of why the engine was spazzing...lolz it also might have been because it was lackin oil..a lil..i filled her up and shes runnin sweet. lol
