I have had an oil leak I got the head gasket replaced, but I still have the leak and the oil light keeps coming on. It beeps and beeps, but as soon as shift gears and give the car gas the light goes off...can some one please help me so when I go to the mechanic I will have a clue of the possibilities before they rape me for all my money
Thanks

It sounds like an bad oil pump. If it leaks by, when you step on the gas, it pumps faster and puts out more pressure. It could be that your oil is too thin (old?) but it's unlikely. You can try changing your oil (10W-40)
You can buy an oil pump online for about $55.00. To replace it, remove the oil pan and you will be able to access it. Replace the oil pan gasket ($7.00 online) if you remove the oil pan.
Fix this soon or you'll lose your engine. :smokin:

Thanks, but I found out it was the oil pressure sensor. The oil was leaking directly from it. Hopefully my pump isnt bad too.

My 95jetta had an oil leak(small but caused the light to go on and the alarm to beep).Problem on mine was a leak where the oil pressure sensor/sender was mounted on engine. When I gave it gas it went off(lights and beeps). Replaced part (was at most $12 bucks.).Don't have my maintenance manual w/me so I hope I've used the correct terms.
