I have this 94 GP SE 3.1L 134kmiles and it has trans problems.
When in D, it barely accelerates from a stop. I have to shift down to 2 or 1 to go anywhere. But once above 30mph i can shift it back to D and have no slipping. feels fine on the highway, etc.
should i get a trans fluid flush? i do not think that it has ever been done on this car. i got it with 131kmiles on it. a flush couldnt make it worse could it?

sounds to me like it is time for an overhaul. Do you have the SES lighton?

yes, the pcm should store the codes in the history.

DO NOT get a fluid flush/exchange. There is 95% chance that you will ruin your transmission. It sounds as if you have a shift solenoid sticking (if you have teh electronic transmission). Try a trans additive like Trans-x or Seafoam, and see if the offending valve frees up. If not, you probably need an overhaul.
