Oil in the intake plumbing...?

I was bored so i ripped apart the intake plumbing to clean. In all the plumbing there was an oily resedue, probably the most was in the splitter piece the comes right from the intake filter, and the y-pipe. The intake itself and the MAS were totally clean. Nothing at all on the filter. Car is running fine, and not losing any oil. My original thought was turbos, but there wasnt a whole lot or resedue in the piping the comes from them. Maybe it just doesnt collect there because its more verticle...?
Anyways, what do you guys think? how bad it it?

There is going to be some oily residue in your intake pipes. This is why there is a vacuum hose connected from your rear heads to your intake t-pipe. If there is excess oil, then your turbos are probably leaking oil, but if there is just some residue, its perfectly natural. If you want to get rid of it all together, then get a oil catch can to place between the rear heads and the intake pipe.

Alright. Thanks for the good news man. Previous owner prolly just never took the time to clean it out. Wasnt an excess of oil, just didnt expect it to be there. Thanks for the info.

no problem, if your still a little suspicious, clean it out, drive around for a few hundred miles, and check your intake pipes again, and then you'll know for sure.
