exhaust, cam gears, cams, underdrive pullies, ignition system, ecu reprogram, basic tuneup, iridium plugs, lightened flywheel, lightened clutch, better radiator, racing motor oil, lighter wheels, limited slip differential, raised compression with thinner headgasket, valve springs and Ti retainers, portmatching, overbored throttlebody, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, oil catch can, new O2 sensor, urethane motor mounts...
all these things will help improve your performance or better apply the power you have... some are more effective than others, some you wont see a benefit until you do others.
also you can go with weight reduction...
carbon fibre or fiberglass hood, fiberglass fenders, lexan windows, removal of unecessary equipment, lighter wheels, lighter tyres, lightened struts
