I need some technical help here. This is for a 98 K1500 5.7. I have a stock 105 amp alternator, and want to put the optional 140 in. Problem is, the connector is different on the 140. I can buy it (the connector) but my stock has the large + terminal, and one wire from the connector. The new alt has big + terminal, and on the plug there are 3 wires. One large 10 ga red, a small black and a small brown. All I have now is the small brown. Any ideas on what it takes wiring wise? I am thinking that the black doesnt get used, and the brown hooks to my brown, and that the red goes to the batt +. Anyone know for sure if this is correct? I searched here for hours and found a few who upgraded the same, but didnt mention about wiring.....any help is greatly appreciated!

Any ideas about the 10GA Red wire? I was told somewhere that it goes to batt+ also or just to the output lug on the alt.....
