So is having rear disks just for show, when they aren't hooked up. No, actually having the disk brakes without them working is even more ghey. At least with the fake hub caps, you still have rear brakes that work. Think about it this way, you'll never be able to park on a hill.

To put the rotors on you have to have disc hubs, to put the calipers on you have to have disc hubs. Oh look... you've did a conversion by that point, throw in a brake line (the factory integra one) and a brake cable (the factory integra one) and you've did the whole swap. Why the fucking hell would you buy them and not even hook them up? Then you have the nurge to throw a pms hissy fit when we make fun of you. Your a fucking RICER.
TheSilentChamber
12-04-2005, 06:16 PM
Accually now that I think about that, it wont fit. Dont go to the junk yard and get them. Leave them their for other people to get that are serious about accually doing something to their car.

12-04-2005, 09:03 PM
What dose RICER mean anyways and thanks for the info realy appriciated it. Gonna start calling around junkyards to see if they have any integras there from 90-93 so i can do the conversion.
TheSilentChamber

90-01 will work.
You are rice because you want the look of brakes that you do not have.

actually a 94 and up would be better because less likely the trailing arm bushing is torn, and if you have to replace it, its easier than the 90-93, unless you go with oem bushings, i went with mugen bushings
TheSilentChamber
12-05-2005, 04:30 AM
Its easier and cheeper to just put on the disc spindles, no need for the trailing arm- they are the same.

yeah its the cheaper route. but like i was saying about the trailing arm bushings, in our 4th gens, probably all of our trailing arm bushing are ripped already. the price of those new from honda, plus all the parts to swap over to rear disc, while a newer integra will have all those already and hopefully be all good. i would think its about the same. unless you dont care at all about the trailing arm bushing

Just Asking...but what would be the symptoms of a ripped trailing arm bushing?Never really heard it brought up and would like to be able to keep a eye out for it.
Thanks

just a shittier ride in general. it wasnt that bad, but you could fell it going over bumps around a corner at a decent speed.

its hard to tell because it gets progressively worse. i know when i did my rear disc brake swap, my stock trailing arms and the 90-93 teg trailing arms had ripped bushings. i changed mine with mugen bushings and to tell you the truth, i didnt notice a change in my ride quality

i just did the rear disk conversion and it wasnt that hard and as far as not having the rear brakes that is just the dumbest thing that i have ever heard. that would be like trying to drive a car without a steering wheel nnnnnnnnnooooooooo control idioto 93 acura integra and powdered coated calipers from autozone the whole swap cost me about 180 and as far as what they can come out of here is some info for you 90 and 91 crx si 91 through 95 acura integra 92 through 00 civic si. in some cases you will have to take only the hub and mount but in others you will have to take the whole control arm but take the ebrake cables for sure. the proportioning valve is also a good idea and of course a good idea is always to put new set of brake pads on freshly turned rotors. And you can tell the difference in braking power especially when you corner really hard. good luck

Yah, nothing is better than brand NEW rotors with NEW pads.

Bedding new pads on new or turned rotors should be avoided.

its ok to cut rotors as long as they are still in spec after they have been turned.
1PhatCX
12-16-2005, 11:23 PM
cutting them makes them more prone to warping, since ur making them thinner, better to just replace em.
and with newer cars, you cant cut the rotors because of the material, we had an 04 chev pick-up come in the other day, customer requested his rotors be turned, we tried it, and it made it all choppy and rough. put an old rotor on to be sure and it cut that fine, so with alot of newer rotors, there making em out of harder metals
