Extra Gauges via Pod on A-Pillar

Greetings,
Has anyone installed extra gauges (oil pressure, oil temp etc.) in their Infiniti I30 or I35? Great cars but I'd like to have a little more info about what the engine is doing. Maybe a pod mounted to the A-pillar would work. Any info would be appreciated such as which senders are available and how easy they are to reach. I'd like to see oil pressure, oil temperature and volts.
Thanks,
Shortimer

I have a similar question for 96-97 I30 owners. I have fuzzy a pillars and the pods are plastic, how does this look? also our tweeters are mounted in our A pillars. How did you mount them?

I have not installed any gauges yet. I was wondering if anyone on this forum had done such an install. You're right about the speakers on the A-pillars. That could be a problem. I have not really looked the inside of the car over to see if there is another location that would be suitable. I don't want to have to do any cutting. I was just looking for ideas.

Someone gave me the Idea of getting an alike generation of maxima a pillars since they are hard plastic to replace them with so they will match, then I thought about just upgrading them to the little JBL tweeters, since they are directional and can be placed in the same spot just on top of the new A pillars. I've seen people get a single DIN(?) headunit and use that extra space for gauges too.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll keep it mind.
