fun problem - gears??

owned my 96 camaro for ~2years now. yesterday's story:
i have to use two hands and shove it into first gear now.
sometimes i need two hands to shove it into second.
the car won't shift into second third or fourth (haven't tried fifth since yest) unless i match the rpms ie 20-30 yrs ago.
clutch pedal is much more loose too - i have to push it another 1/2"-1" to start it enganging. there is firmness only for the last 2"-"" towards the floor.
