I need to replace the ideler on my 1998 altima 2.4 but cannot figure out how to get it our/off the engine. The is not enough space between the whell well and the block to slide it out from above. I understand that the airconditioning belt needs to be removed and the wheel ell liner but there is no way to get at it. Do I need to remove the engine mount or try to slide it out between the water pump and the alternator?
help please

I just changed the Idler pulley for my alternator, power steering, oil pump etc. Remove the inner fender and foward underpan covers.
The adjustment/removal is on the botton of the frame below the idler.
As you loosen the idler is travels up a guide and eventually the adjustment bolt will come free of the idler and it will fall out in your hand.
