Feel like sharing...

So I've been working with the University newspaper a lot this semester, writing stories and doing this and that, and I was recently recommended for an editors position. Well, I was informed not too long ago that I will soon be getting paid to be the Arts and Entertainment Editor for my University :biggrin:.

I may update this in the coming weeks if I get accepted to the Washington Journalism Center for the next Fall semester, that has a possible internship with USA Today.

Anyway, I don't normally share the good things in my life due to not wanting to seem self-consumed, but I thought I would just share this little tid-bit from "the life of Jon."

yay that's awesome, best of luck with that! i was on the school newspaper *in high school* until they started playing favorites and i lost oh well. congrats about the position and all. u should share some of ur stories too

I got carried away in my own story because I'm such a great writer, and then I forgot to say it. Im so rude.


And anyways... feel free to quote me in your articles. I know I have very valuable advice and well accepted opinions very worthy of worldwide worship and a spot in the paper, possibly entitled "Rick's Sixth Cents" (yea I just thought of that... isn't that awseome?); so if you quote me just make sure I get the worldwide recognition I deserve. This could be my big break. (I always knew I'd do something great) Thanks there Swigz, ol buddy.

congrats, my girlfriend used to be the editor in chief of our college paper, she loved it but was a thankless job. Plus tons of work. However being involved with a school paper is great experience and looks great on a resume if you intend to continue on with it.
