Clutch problems

I JUST (4 days ago!) bought my first Mazda truck. It is a 1990 B2600i 2wd that needs a little tlc. My biggest problem is that I have to STAND on the clutch to get it in gear and have to force the stick into 1st. As soon as I start releasing pressure on the clutch the truck starts to move forward (no play in the clutch pedal at all). My thoughts are that 1) The clutch is shot or 2) one of the clutch cylinders is leaking. Any help on how to diagnose this problem would be greatly appreciated. Should I try "pumping up" the clutch pedal to see if this helps?

I just had the same sort of problem with my 1990 mazda b2200 when I pushed in the clutch the truck was moving like you had no clutch at all. I replaced the master and slave cylinder and now it works fine. It is very hard to bleed the master cyl. You need to jack up the front as high as you can and make sure you do not run the master out of fluid. There are also some adjustments for your pedal under the steering wheel by the fire wall that you could try first. Go to your libary and get a Chiltons repair manual if you have any questions it expains it all.

Odds are that if your losing fluid its your slave cylinder and if you arent it will be your master cylinder, thats what the tranny experts have told me. If your pedal has resistance when you push on it it is probably your clutch tho. If it kinda just falls to the floor it could very well be a bad cylinder master or slave.
