I got the Service engine soon light, trac off and abs lights all at once. After a little bit of research I found out that it was most probably the hub assembly that needed to be changed. I replaced both of them but the lights are still on !!! I unplugged the battery for a few hours thinking it might reset something but that didn't help. Any suggestions. Is there some kind of reset button ???

You need a code scanner in order to reset the light. I would have to suspect that you have something else going on that is causing the issue. Take it to an autozone and they will scan it for free. Post the code and we will help you get it corrected. If the code is related have them clear it for you.

One other thing you may want to look at is the charging system to see that the alternator is putting out correct voltage and that the battery is fully charged. Sometimes this same thing will occur when voltage drops too low.

Thanx for the help, but I live in Canada and we don't have Autozone up here. I don't want to get charged just so they can reset the stupid lights !!! Is there anything else I could do. Any suggestions or ideas are greatly appreciated .

Thanx

The only other thing I can think of is to either purchase a code scanner, check Sears.com or search the web. You can usually purchase one for around $150 US. I purchased one from Sears and it has more than paid for itself. Don't waste your money on a code reader since it won't clear the codes.

Other than that you will be limited to taking the car to a mechanic or find someone with one who will do it for you.

A service engine soon light will not come on because of a wheel hub!
A SES light is turned on when there is a POWERTRAIN/EMISSIONS concern with your vehicle.
When there is a concern seen with the PCM, the PCM turns on the SES and Trac light.
The ABS light will be turned on if you have an ABS concern.
Before replacing parts, the intelligent thing to do is do a little diagnosis first to determine why the lights came on and what codes are stored.
You have already wasted money replacing parts that didn't need to be replaced, why don't you spend some money intelligently and have the codes pulled and have a professional diagnose your concern.

MY mistake, It was the service vehicle soon light, trac off and ABS light that come on. And by the way I did take it to the garage and had the codes read and they told me that i needed to replace both hubs !!! I wouldn't spend 400 $$ just like that for no reason !!! Thanx for the help anyways but you should keep your useless comments for yourself !!!

Thanx for the help. I'm gonna look into getting a code scanner.
