Hey, I've been searching around the net/this forum for the answer, and sofar I've come up with a "no", so I decided to ask the experts here.
I've got a '94 civic EX with a D16Z6 and I originally wanted to put a DOHC head on it only to find that there isn't one. Am I wrong, or is there some obscure dealer that can get me one?

No. The only DOHC "D-series" (though it's technically not a d-series) is the dohc ZC engine. That engine is only 130hp, so 5hp wouldn't even be worth a head swap (not sure it'd even work anyways). DOHC doesn't mean a lot more hp. Just stick with what you have, turbo it or do a swap for something with even more power (B-series).

no, the ZC is the only option you have w/ your D series...if you want a DOHC VTEC engine, you have to buy one....theres no easy way to make power in this world....

if he wants dohc vtec then he needs to convert to b series. ive never heard of someone putting a dohc head on a z6 because they make about the same power anyways, no point.
