my 99' has another prob. between the speeds of 45-57 mph the steering wheel shimmys backand forth a little bit, the truck doesnt shake, just the steering wheel just shakes. i checked the alignment and it checked out ok, but i didnt check for any looseness, or is this just tire balancing problems. :screwy: o well, i still love the truck, just wished i could stop with these small problems

seems as if some front end problem is transferring some movement to the steering wheel. Tires balanced? Check the knuckle joint under hood on steering shaft for sloppiness :dunno:

It is a wheel balance issue , mine is doing the sme thing. I had it in last week to haev the tires reblanced but they can not get that one tire completely balanced cause it is calling for 10oz's of weight and they can only by law put 6 on. Nice this is though they said they will warrenty that tire, not too bad for 3 year old tires. My next problem though is that i do not want to go back to the same tires, so it is a matter of maybe rotating it back to the rear which is where it just came from cause i really do not need the expense of new tires right now.
