windshield squiters

I have a 1987 Chevy Blazer that HAD a loose steering column.
I read a few articles on repairing it and last Saturday I tackled the job with great success (or at least I thought). While driving this morning I attemped to use the windshield squirters and got nothing. Not even the motor whirl of an empty reservoir. Upon closer inspection I found that the black wire that leads out of turn-signal stick and into the column and then out the bottom is not longer plugged into anything. Does anybody have any idea what-so-ever where this wire plugs in? It runs down the left side of the column along side the high-beam activation rod, but from there, I'm clueless.

just run a toggle switch off the squirters.

That's exactly what I'm going to do. After a little more research I learned that the wire I'm speaking of is for the cruise control. Problem is, this truck doesn't even have cruise control. Turns out the vehicle had been stolen once and a junk-yard column with cruise control installed.

The wiring for the squirters uses the same plug as the wipers themselves. And since the wipers work, I believe I've got a problem else where.
