Replacing bulbs with LED

I'm hoping some of you may know the work around here. To no surprise when I swapped out the factory bulbs (tail lights and marker bulbs) with LED's, they are not recognized by the computer in my aging 1997 LS. What type of device is needed/installed to have the computer accept these types of bulbs. If anyone happens to know and can make a suggestion for someone who isn't very mechanically inclined that would be much obliged. On a side note, anyone know of a place where I can order clear lenses as opposed to red/orange for marker lights on the side of the vehicle? I know that's a stretch but I thought I would ask.
