When shifting from 1 to 2nd gear there is hesitation. When i pull down (with the clutch all the way in) the shifter wants to stay in 1st gear. This problem also happens in other gears but not as bad. If I wait for the car to idle down or if I rev up the rpm's it will eventually slide in. Is this a problem with my clutch or somthing else in my tranny? If so any idea on how hard to fix and $ amount.

This sounds like an issue with the clutch. Possibly a worn clutch disk. To replace correctly probably $1K if you need a new flywheel. Before doing anything have the clutch adjusted as it may just be out of adjustment.

Your car has a hydraulic clutch, there is no adjustment. Check the fluid, if its low its leaking somewhere. Check the lines, if everything is dry its probably the slave cylinder, which is intergrated with the throwout bearing. On my 95 I was quoted $1100 for parts and labor, its an expensive job.
