Reverse lights wont turn on

Hey all, i searched teh forums and couldnt find anything relevant -- my altima's reverse lights will not go on when i shift into reverse (manual transmission, 94 gxe)... Is there a bad sensor somewhere? What's causing this? Thanks guys.

Test the 10 amp fuse in the #25 position of the fuse block. With the ignition key in the run position, does your test light light up on each side of the fuse?

If it did light on both sides, did the test light come on when you checked the brown wire to the switch in the transmission.

Did your test light stay turned off when you checked for power in the green/white wire when the transmission is in any gear except reverse?

When you shifted the transmission to reverse, did the test light come on when you checked the green/white wire at the switch in the transmission?

With the transmission in reverse did your test light turn on when you checked the green/white wire at the reverse light socket?

If your test light turns on, check the lightbulbs and ground connection at the black wire connected to the reverse light sockets.

i want to check the fuse, but my fuse box has no cover :loser: could you possibly point me to which one it is?

hey, since i couldnt pinpoint the fuse, i just pulled all my 10A fuses and checked them all visually, and they all looked intact... so what now??? :icon16:

i checked all my fuses(every last one), i checked the bulbs, what's the deal? is there a switch or something by the shifter that i can't get to???

Um did u check to see if tha wire or connector is still connected to your transmission if thats not the case go to nissan and talk to the mechanics first if they cant solve it go to tha front desk they will try to tell u
