On my 2005 CrewCab's trailer wiring harness, I'm trying to find where the fuse is for the +12v pin. I took a voltmeter to the 7-pin trailer harness at the +12v and -ve pins with no luck. Any suggestions?

hi I have a 01 gmc and all the fuses are under the hood next to your driver side fender.

I'm not familiar with the newer trucks but on my 96 there is a blue wire for trailer brakes and an orange wire for 12v feed. Neither one is connected to the fuse block. They stub out of the wiring harness beneath the brake booster and you connect them where you want.

Yours may be totally different but it may be worth looking.

I have an 03 and the yellow wire that controls the left side brake and turn signal is not sending current to my trailer. I have checked the wire that runs to the trailer plug on the truck and volt meter shows nothing. All fuses are good that are in the engine compartment fuse panel. I'm at a loss?? Is there an in-line fuse...? another fuse panel...? Any info would be appreciated
