belt problems

my alternator belt keeps breaking off. does anyone have any clue why? and would i be abale to fit a 6 cyl probe gt turbo motor in my probe se?

1 does it brake off like the belt is tost? if it just slips off it is the belt tensionor or your belt is too big, this is common if you buy cheap belts, just go back and tell them the belt is too big. i have never heard of new belts snaping unless it a cheap belt.
