Okay, I realize this has nothing to do with DSMs, but I had to share with my brethren:

Yea I know, that brings back an interesting story of mine.
Last summer my mom and I were making a trip down to Galveston from Dallas. We rented this Taurus and such, and about when we were going through Houston, I see out of thi corner of my eye, this guy literally haning out of his truck, throwing his arm up and down. At first I ignored him cuz well...it was weird, lol. Eventually I realized he was motioning to shut something on the car, he starting pointing at the hood. So we pulled over and the guy pulled over behind us and I got out the car, closed the hood, and the guy comes running up and says "Hey man your hood was open". I was kinda in shock so I just said "Thanks" and he was on his way. Thats Southern Hospitality for ya.

Yeah, I would have thought that it would have pulled hard and he would have stopped. What a retard.

it woulda pulled hard until the tires wore down and blew...then it would be just metal on concrete, which wouldn't be that tough to pull with little resistance.

LMAFO That's great (sucks for the owner of the sporttrac). He's lucky that it didn't catch the car of fire. Samething happen to someone that was passing through the town I used to live in and the car actually exploded in a tunnel because somehow a spark ignited the gas tank.

I had a story like this, but up in Canada. My hood was a bit unlatched on the QEW and I had three cars flag me to let me know, including one car that made a sign for me .
I don't let anyone talk smack about Canada anymore :). Really, nice people in my experience.

How did you not know the hood was open? I left mine in the "safety lock postion" one time (not all the way closed but still locked.) and i noticed it the second i got in the car.

Well typically when you drive you do not look straight down at the hood, unless you sit straight up in your seat. But whatever.....

Personally, I knew my hood was up. I could click into the safety position, but not completely close the hood. Had to replace the radiator support to fix the problem. I didn't get around to it for a couple weeks.

When my I was moving out to Boise I had some guy flashing his lights and hanging his lights out the window yelling for us to pull over, apparently when we got ready to leave the hotel we stayed at my mother forgot to take the set of keys I gave her for the trip out of the trunk when she put her luggage in there.

Atleast they didnt fly out and land somewhere along the road never to be found again. Well, atleast it sounds like you got them from the trunk.
