I am aquiring a '55 Ford F-Series f-250 with a straight 6 in it, and am going to rebuild the motor. I was wondering where I could find info on the motor, and rebuild kits for it also. Any information on the truck would help as well. thanks

That should be a 223 CID 6. Good, tough engine. Not real efficient by modern standards.
Engine parts are still available through most engine parts outlets. Sealed Power has them. If you can't get help there, try Kanter Auto Parts, Boonton, NJ. They have "kits" for ALL the old stuff.
There's another place, Ford Obsolete, that used to be in Long beach, CA. I haven't dealt with them in some time, but they should still be there. Lots of good parts and info on the old Fords.
I'm sure there are others. I've placed a call to a friend into old Fords. When I get the info, I'll post back here for more places to look.
