Hi All,
I have a 1997 Sentra and the Service Engine Soon light went on recently while I was driving it. It has about 90K miles on it and I've never had it go on before. I had the oil as well as the transmission fluid changed a few months ago and I drive it maybe 100-200 miles per month. Is there any way I can figure out on my own what the issue is? If not, do I need to take it to a dealer to find out or can I go to a regular mechanic? Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Autozone or similar parts store should be able to run the code for you and tell you what is wrong.

They can run a scan but that doesn't tell exactly what is wrong, it just points you in the right direction.
