You just DO NOT fuck with singapore.

I would normally feel that the guy does not deserve it, but he had to have known the risks.

well if he was only doing it to save his brothers life i feel bad for him. But i dont really believe that. You do the crime you better be prepaired to accept the punishment. While i dont think someone should be killed over drugs, i can also understand that, that is there law. Ignorance of the law is no excuse.

And really isnt it like 10,000 people die everyday in the world, like anyone cares about this guy.

And why don't we have the same sort of justice system in Canada and the US?

Crime rates would drop drastically !!!

Dude imagine if anyone that got caught with 14 ounces of anything and they got the death penalty, that would stop most of the drugs coming in an out and distributing too.

Yeah but that guy murdered his wife and father in law...drug smugglers in the US just need a good lawyer to get a slap on the wrist.

Usually in those third world asian countries you just need to grease the right palm with enough money and you can get away with anything. But Singapore isn't known to have a corrupt government and they're not really a third world country anymore...

Im surprised that Australia tried to justify his smuggling because he had to pay off a loan shark for his brother. I mean... why do people usually deal with loan sharks in the first place. Something illegal was going on.

Besides that... if needing money was a good enough reason to get away with drug smuggling.... that just means it's almost legal.

i beleive that in singapore you can get the death penalty for having over one gram of any illegal substance. and he had 14 ounces.

in my opinion people like that, not on a personal level, should get that sentnce. just because he was helping his brother doesn't mean what he did was justified. he may have been helping one person, but like the article said, it would bring misery to thousands.

herion is an evil drug, by supplying it you are effectively killing people. if no-one supplied drugs there wouldnt be any to kill people. singapore is only protecting people from the evils that these drugs do.
