In my Honda, you just pull up the floor mat and count the blinks on the LED in the computer.
On my Chev 3/4 ton, there are none, it's a '78 and I love the fact that it has no brain!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Error codes are.. you turn the key, it doesn't start ---> check for spark and check for fuel
How the hell do you ask a 2002 Caravan what's ailing it ?!?!?! :banghead:

On the pre-OBDII chrysler vehicles, you just cycle the key 3 times and count CEL flashes, but i don't think you can on the '96 and up vehicles. Just go to autozone and have them scanned for free!

Problem is I live on an island a long way away from an autozone.

Try turning the ignition on and off 3 times. On th 3rd time, leave the ignition in run. Observe the check engine light as it will flash a certain number of times then pause, then another number of times.

It should show the erroe code where the MI. is. after the 3 key turn cycle. no need to look for the blinks of a light.

You could pull the codes up until they did the last redesign by the keydance method . 2001 on up you cannot, you'll need a scanner .

Actually the key dance thing worked to get codes 1282, 1684 & 1698. Now I just need to figure out what to do with them.
And it's a 2002.
