headlamp/light replacement options

After 200k miles the headlamp assemblies on my '95 Tracer (Escort Wannabe) are shot, very yellow and the lights just suck.
What kind of replacement/upgrade options are there? Are there Xenon replacement kits, etc for the 91-96 style? I want better and brighter than stock if at all possible... not a fan of adding extra "driving lights"...
Oh yes I'm sure I'll replace the old yellow housings, just wondering about bulbs etc w/ them.

I went with a set of Xenon from AutoZone. They are really high powered. People kept flashing their lights at me so I took them out. I'll look the part number up if you are interested. But they are BRIGHT and very white.

It helped some but I used rubbing compound on my headlight lenses. Made quite a difference.

'preciate it. They didn't melt the housings any? That was my first concern.
However, I don't want to be distracting/blinding anybody, that's just unsafe (not to mention rude). How many watts were they?

No problem with the heat. They are rated at 80/100 watts but package says "Xenon Brilliance Equivalent 130 Watts". These would make great auxillary lights but don't know of an aux lite that uses 9004 bulbs. (Not at Wal-Mart anyway!)
