I'm not at all familiar with your car, but it sounds like it has a passive factory alarm. Try disconnecting the negative battery cable and seeing if that fixes it. Also check the owner's manual to see what it says. Did your car come with a remote, if not you may want to check with a dealership and see how much it would be to replace (if you bought the car used or lost it or something) They also usually sell them on ebay for pretty cheap and then you just have to worry about getting them programmed.
One thought comes to mind, it maybe that the triggers/sensors (rubber things in the door jams) for the alarm have been worn and don't always realize that hte door is being opened/closed, and then finally they just realized it now and set off the passive alarm. Sometimes simply unscrewing them and cleaning them off fixes it, but then you will have to be conscious of properly arming/disarming the system either with your key or a remote prior to trying the door handle.
