I have a 98 tacoma 4x4 and i had a 2.5" lift kit from daystar installed on it. I also have kyb shocks... I've noticed when i hit a pot hole or enter any kind of drop off the front end of my truck makes a violent thud that never occured before the lift was put on. I figure since my cv's are at more of an angle, thats probably what is causing it. So, i was wondering if the diff drop would fix this problem or if it could be something else.
Any advice would be appreiciated.

I figure it out... When i put the spacer on top of the coil spring it force my truck up to create lift. So when this happened i lost about 2 inches of down travel which leaves me with 1 inch to play with since stock down travel is 3.5 inches. The thud probably occurs due to the suspension reaching maximum down travel at high speeds...

Thanks for letting us know what caused the problem. It always helps to post what solved a problem, perhaps the information will save someone else some time and frustration.
