1989 1500 4X4 with a 5.7 engine. Engine cranks over but there is no signal to the fuel injectors. I thought it was the computer ground at the water neck but that is good. It will start when you don't need it to start. Very erattic. I am thinking it has something to do with the computer or the grounding of the computer. Any help with be appreciated. Thank you.

Check your fuel filter/pump. Is it getting fire? Check your ignition components.

If I remember right you can put a jumper wire from the "a" terminal to the "b" terminal on your aldl port and than the check engine light will flash every time the ecm recives a signal to fire the injectors from the pick up in the distributor. Hope this helps
