overcooling???

i just got my 91 xj and it sait it was running really hot but the oil pressure gage wasent reading rite either so i looked at the radeator and it was prety low so i just filled it with water and not it is running really cold all the time and my heater isent as worm anymore. should i just take some water out of the radeator?

Do not reduce the radiator level. You might have a theormostat that's stuck open.
Since you just got it, flushing the cooling system would be a good thing as well.
What was your oil pressure gauge reading?

the oil gauge is like floped over its not even reading, but ya i will try flushu=ing it. thanks

Don't foget the thermostat.
Check the sending unit next to the oil filter. Make sure the wire is OK too.
