79.8KW @ the front wheels. Not as much as B16A4ME's B16A powered 3G/AT Civic which did 91. I guess stock exhaust, cat, PS and A/C suck a fair bit of power :bloated:

you have an awesome car, whats the conversion from Kw to HP tho?

Setanta

Thanks :)

Conversion = 107.01 hp @ the front wheels. 50bhp missing somewhere though.

By comparison, the 3G Civic with B16A and no creature comforts + a 2 1/2 inch exhaust and CAI (see the other thread) was getting 123.3hp @ the front wheels and a DC sports exhaust VTiR hatch was getting 126.0.

Pity we all got smoked by the Silvias, 180SXs, GTR Skylines, Holden V8s and 6cyl turbos, and other turbo 4s ;)

I have some other digi-pics of the imports that were there - I'll post them when I get back from camp if people are interested.

A, Iv been waiting for these results, I might have to spend some money and see what mine's doing.

But it sounds like you've lost some power somewhere, and lots of it.

Theres no way an exhasut is going to get you another 20hp. :D
Infact it almost sounds like your car wasnt engaging VTEC for it to be making only 100hp. (but Im sure you would be able to tell if it wasnt).

According to the tech at honda all the auxalries on the engine draw about 7-8hp, which would be why B16a4me's car was so close to the VTiR. (or does the Aussie VTiR only have 160hp as well? in which case he's also losing some hp somewhere)

Damn that sucks for that low of an output!!! I'm sorry guys!!

Mine put out 141hp and 101 torque at the wheels, with just intake, ecu, and vtec controller. If i had a scanner i would scan it so you guys could see it.

Nice looking car.

Sorry to say though... first thing I noticed in the pic was "Hey, AWD Dyno... lucky him to have one of those nearby"

Second thing was...

Over here in Europe the conversion is that you multiply the Kw with 1.36
Like mine is 81Kw x 1.36 = 110.16, and thats about right

Dont know if the conversion method overseas is different

My guess is a stuffed cat plus the idle issues I have - gut feeling is that the car is running rich and I didn't remember to get an A/F reading.

Aussie VTiRs are 160bhp so I would expect a figure at about B16A4ME's (he has ECU issues at the moment).

I'm going to sort the idle/throttle body issue and go from there.

Kaneto: The Evo was nice, but there was better machinery on the Dyno that day - too many damn WRXs for my liking though - almost as many as the Skylines (GT and GTR) in number - not to mention the 180SXs :p

Hehe just wanted to say that pic of your SiR spinnin the wheels on the dyno rules...somehow after all this time I never get bored of pics of your car no matter how much you whore it out ;) just kiddin. In about 2 weeks i'll be taking mine to the dyno to see what it can pull. I think i'm close to being in the same boat as you. Both my cat and my O2 sensor have over 157k miles on them (sorry I'm not converting that into km's for you lol). Either way I don't think the car enjoys it to much. But right after the dyno it should be gettin those 2 things replaced and some other things so we'll see how the turnout is.

Moppie - looks like my car is spot on with the Aussie VTiR civic - they are definitely 160bhp B16As, but I raced one tonight and we were neck and neck.

Habib - ta, remind me to whore my car more :p

SiPoweredHB - he was prolly bored as they put tons of cars through on the day - that or the noise the SiR was putting out was hurting his ears... I wish ;)

Well if you really were down 20hp then theres no you could have even kept up with a VTi-R

It sounds to me like it was the Dyno at fault, and not your car.

Yeah - that's my guess too. It has a flat spot getting on VTEC and spinning up to redline, but otherwise it's cool. I have a feeling that if I can resolve this then I should be able to hunt the VTiR tegs down a bit better - they just pulled away too fast off the line
