what can i do to get my car louder? 99 cavalier 2200 sfi motor

Change the tail pipe, but I suggest not using rice ones as many people aren't fans of them.

Basically any "air flow" mod will change the sound. I got to listen to my friends Tiburon stock, just ram air, ram air with catback, and finally ram air and catback and header. The sound definately changed for the good with each mod, but whats good for me, isnt good for everyone.

Gah!!! The 2200 motor....ummm stick a rag in the gas cap with a full tank and light it. It will only be for a few seconds but at the time yours will be the loudest cavalier ever. :lol:

Slap a new header, high flow cat, 2 1/2 exhaust setup with around a 4in tip and you should be good to go.

if you wanna do the cheapest thing possible with the most noise go buy a nice carbon fiber muffler TIP!! just the tip and have someone mount it for u or whatever....it makes it sound like you have a beast exhaust....any kind of performance muffler will do it but carbon fiber will shake houses....

Screw the new muffler, you want loud? Just cut the muffler off. Better yet, Cut everything off from about 2 inches in front of the cat. It will roar. I know, I used to have a similar setup.

take off all the intake piping and put a huge cone filter as close to the throttle body as possable it will get the air flow quicker

take a Folgers coffee can and weld it in place of the muffler and you'll have yourself a genuinely gay-as-hell fartcan....i think they're all stupid and annoying, but the coffee can is the cheapest way to go. Personally i wouldn't do it!

It was an older Supra. I looked stupid as hell with the 20in lexani's on it IMO, and personally I couldn't even here the whisle tip on it while was trying to show it off.
